This page lists the areas of development
that we most need. For instance we really need web devellopers to help us out with templates.
These are just a matter of developers offering bits of their code that works for them.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a populated template tree with lots of useful code bits
and page layouts as a starting point? So let's do it.
Template developers
Skill level: Web developer
Okay this is where everyone can help. Send us templates for code snippets in
PHP and Javascript, basic documents, specialized tasks, whatever. I would also
like someone to function as the template admin so I am not so overwhelmed I cannot
oversee the project. All of you who said "If I only knew C++" step up.
ColdFusion environment
Skill level: ColdFusion/XML developer
Several people have asked to do this over the years. We're getting our tag development
environment ready and our DTD switching up to speed. The tag architecture, auto complete
features and everything else is there. You would help us with a definition file, tags,
XML based dialogs and toolbars none of which requires any knowledge of C++.
WebDAV
Skill level: web developer/possible C++
We confess. We haven't played with this and are therefore not good candidates to oversee
it's implementation. if you have contact us.
XML schemas and validation
Skill level: web developer/possible C++
We will be extending in these areas. If you have skills and experience here you can
help us to do a better job with this.
Emerging W3C standards
Skill level: web developer/possible C++
Let's not get left in the dust. Wanna play with
SMIL or something else new? Let's
make sure that Quanta is set up for it.
KDE DocBook
Skill level: KDE documentation writer
We have made some inroads. Help us make Quanta a dream tool for docs with an implementation
of templates, scripts, auto complete, toolbars, integration with our rule based doc
strcture tree, validation and more.
KDE/QT/C++ coder
Skill level: C++ coder
Hey! Of course we need you! Take a look at our project page.
